Dengue Fever Sadness vs. 2012 Auld Lang Syne

Without rain and sunshine-- not even weeds would grow!

Without rain and sunshine– not even weeds would grow!

There comes a time in everyone’s living experience

when joy is infused with sadness

And sadness must be

dispelled with hope.

At such a time as this

year ending 2012

We remember the children

beyond our voices.

What a time

such as this

With grief pressing

familiar and near!

A new time has begun

2013 is all before us

Breaking over and beyond

the mornings global horizons!

Many of us, parents, family members and friends, doctors, nurses, and a host of other health-care providers– we are surviving war veteran’s in this battle against a minute yet formidable foe.  In memory of the children’s laughter that no longer reach our ears, knowing the New Year has just begun we sing this song to remember what has passed, and look forward, in hope and faith to what is yet to come.

Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind ?
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and old lang syne ?

CHORUS:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we’ll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

And surely you’ll buy your pint cup !
and surely I’ll buy mine !
And we’ll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

CHORUS

We two have run about the slopes,
and picked the daisies fine ;
But we’ve wandered many a weary foot,
since auld lang syne.

CHORUS

We two have paddled in the stream,
from morning sun till dine ;
But seas between us broad have roared
since auld lang syne.

CHORUS

And there’s a hand my trusty friend !
And give us a hand o’ thine !
And we’ll take a right good-will draught,
for auld lang syne.
